Fitting in is overrated.
G'day. I'm Lauren, a Senior Copywriter at Bullfrog. I like advertising because the people here are way cooler, funnier and more ambitious than me – it keeps me on my toes.
I'm a country kid who migrated to Melbourne at 18, with big hopes of becoming an out-of-work actor. Once I achieved my goal, I took 6 more gap years before finally deciding to study advertising at RMIT. Then, I dropped out and moved to France. I didn't get a degree, but nobody's asked to see it so far 🤞
After a few short years in the biz, I’ve: made a music video, coached Australia out of its 'all or nothing' attitude, and made the Guinness World Records with a moustache-hair suit. I've won a few awards, including MADC's Emerging Creative of the Year and 'Pitch a Ride to Vegas' for Creative LIAsons.
Off the clock, I have a habit of saying yes to everything and trying my hand at anything. From podcasts, to sexistential comics, to ASMR videos. I'm also one of the co-founders of The Aunties, a support system that inspires, protects and uplifts women and marginalised genders in advertising, for the betterment of our industry.
